Henry-Griffitts Inc was founded in 1983 by two Idaho golf professionals who
were intent on making golf more enjoyable through club fitting. Randy Henry,
long interested in golf club design and Jim Griffitts (now deceased), highly
respected head professional of the exclusive Hayden Lake Country Club,
developed a precision club fitting system to make customized clubs for
golfers.
The
company today has factories located in Idaho in the USA and the Gold
Coast in Australia where every club is manufactured by hand for fitting
locations worldwide.
Since
its inception, the company has consistently been involved in all areas
related to club fitting. Henry-Griffitts has continuously analysed and
refined its fitting procedures. Extensive analysis of club components and
club design has occurred. Numerous swing teaching techniques have been
evaluated along with their relationship to proper club fitting.
Acknowledgement of Henry-Griffitts leadership role has occurred with
increasing demand for its personnel at PGA and LPGA education seminars.
Henry-Griffitts trained fitting experts throughout the world have been
recognized both regionally and nationally for their expertise in club
fitting and its relationship to the swing. GOLF SHOP OPERATIONS (the number
one trade magazine in the golf industry in the US) has stated "Without a doubt, the
state of the art in this type of fitting belongs to Henry-Griffitts."
In
addition to HG Fitting Centres in the USA, Canada and Europe, our Australian
franchise manages fitting centres in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong,
Malaysia, Singapore, China and South Africa.
With
recent system and design improvements, Henry-Griffitts is confident that it

Total TestŪ is the ultimate club fitting system accomplished by using a
series of demonstration heads and shafts to determine the appropriate club
configuration for each client. The demonstration clubs are furnished in
carefully determined variations of shaft flex, lie angle, hosel offset, loft
angle, club length, overall weight, grip size, shaft flex point. A special
board is used to determine lie angle dynamically. Through use of the
demonstration heads and shafts, lie board and defined fitting process the
fitting professional individually designs each set of clubs together with
set make up for the person. Clubs are then ordered and are dispatched to the
fitting professional in approximately 7 working days.
Strict
quality control is adhered to throughout the manufacturing process. Grips,
shafts and clubheads are weighed to the gram to provide a perfectly matched
final product. Clubs are matched in swing weight, total weight and
frequency. Lofts and lies are meticulously set and rechecked on each club.
All specifications are permanently recorded and available so that additional
or replacement clubs can be accurately matched to the original order.
Henry-Griffitts builds no product in advance, all sets are custom built to
each order. No one in the industry manufactures clubs to tighter tolerances
or with greater care than Henry-Griffitts. |
